Hillcrest students attend art class for an hour each week. Focusing on elements of the visual arts students get hands-on experiences with a variety of media including acrylics, pastels, clay, and more. Student artwork is proudly displayed throughout our building as well as in local businesses. In addition, student work is displayed in the annual Elementary Art Walk during Holland Happening.

All students spend at least one hour each week in music class. They learn music theory by utilizing instruments and vocals to practice rhythms, pitch, and melody while incorporating literacy and social skills. Students also learn about the history of music, composers, and different styles of music.
