Morning Drop Off

There are only two options if you are driving and dropping off your child for the school day:

Children may be dropped off along the sidewalk of NW 2nd Avenue. There will be crossing guards at the intersection to ensure children cross safely to the Hillcrest campus.

OR

Children may be dropped off at the visitor parking lot curb in front of the building (the indented pull-off area before the crosswalk to the playground). Children may not be dropped off in the busing lanes, nor anywhere in the parking lot itself

If you pull your vehicle into a parking space, you must get out of the vehicle and walk your child to a crosswalk. 

Morning Supervision

Morning supervision begins at 8:30 a.m. at which time students are authorized to enter school grounds. At this time students will go directly to the playground unless they are participating in the school breakfast program in which case they will enter the cafeteria from the outside gym doors. Please make arrangements so your child does not arrive at school prior to 8:30 a.m..

After-School Pick Up

Please be aware that there is no curbside pickup of students allowed in the Hillcrest parking lot. Under no circumstance will a child be allowed to walk through our busy parking lot to meet a parent.

There are only two options if you are driving to pick up your child at the end of the school day:
 

You may designate your child as a walker (rather than a parent pick-up) who will then walk off school grounds to your parked vehicle along the sidewalk of NW 2nd Avenue. There will be crossing guards at the intersection to ensure children cross safely from the Hillcrest campus.

OR

Parents may park in the visitor's lot and enter the playground gate. Students will be lined up with their teacher outside their respective POD doors. Parents must walk to the appropriate line and make contact with the teacher prior to leaving with the student. In the event there is a substitute teacher parents will be required to provide a signature prior to leaving the campus with their child.

Please do not enter the playground before the dismissal bell rings
